Product Description

The Speed Line is a Tully St. John design, the owner and shaper at legendary
Laguna Bay Longboards in Noosa, Australia. Tully’s shapes have been honed on
the long running walls of Noosa’s Surf Reserve and its many surrounding beach
breaks – the glide and flow of this mid-length design is unmistakable Tully.
The Speed Line is your all-day, everyday funboard with a modern classic design.
A wide point forward section, a pulled in tail and soft rails contribute to ease
of paddling and effortless trim. It has drive for miles and a loose tail, thanks to
a single to double concave. Available in three sizes, there is a classic Noosa
Speed Line for everyone.

Fin setups
Designed as a 4+1 (fins not included), a Speed Line will accommodate a variety of
fin configurations for your riding pleasure. Try out hollow in do reef breaks or
the peeling points of Noosa, it all becomes accessible and easy to tap into.

A Speed Line has the added foam of a mid-length, but maintains the ability
to explore the open face. Single box fin with quad FTU side setup permits
adjustable fin configurations for a superior allround board experience. Speed
Lines are suitable for beginners to advanced riders in all wave types, with
peak performance at 2-6ft.

Do it all board - Quiver killer for 40+

After being totally happy riding 6’6” Fish style boards, trying not to go down the “Mid-Length” route of age acceptance based equipment, the shape and construction of the Speedline HDT made me have to have a demo. So glad I did! Wow. I am soo impressed with this board in so many ways. Considerably more paddle speed and power, super easy pop up (I have hip, back and S1 nerve damage) and surprisingly snappable (for me) in the pocket. I’ve loved it in bigger surf, getting in early, backdooring sections, then taking the longer but easier paddle out because I can. But then so adaptable to fins, way mire than I expected! Quad it up on a small beach day, and your rocketing down the line of one hit mush, twin plus 1 it on a slow turny day, the thruster on the better ones. Want to soul it up, drop a 6.5” single in, and even some tiny bites, and your drawing sweet lines like a hipster. It has been my go to now for nearly 90% of sessions, over my beloved 6’6” Fish and my amazing 9’6” log, as it just brings joy to every session.
100% recommend you to try it if you can, or if the numbers work, it’s a solid investment to your quiver. BTW, previously my numbers used to be <6’10” and 39-43ltrs. It’s not happily been moved to target 7’2” and 49.5ltrs with flinching.

Great all around. Fast.

I've been riding a 7' 6" version for about two weeks now and I'm impressed. I've tried as a thruster with 4.5" fins (FCS adapter for the middle) - middle fin placed almost all the way back - and as a quad. The thruster configuration is great all around. Turns with the quad configuration seem a bit sharper. It's really easy to paddle compared to my previous 7' 6" (not that it was a problem). It's fast. I actually overtook someone who dropped in on me the other day!
