When you use Afterpay, you pay for your items in 4 equal installments over 6 weeks, without incurring any interest.

AfterPay pays Aroona in full and upfront on your behalf. You pay for the first installment of 25% at the time of purchase, and the remaining three installments will be automatically deducted from your nominated debit or credit card over the following six weeks.

Will using Afterpay affect my credit score?

Afterpay does not affect your credit score or credit rating. Your credit score can be impacted when somebody does a credit check on you or if you are reported as paying debts late in Australia. Afterpay does not report late payments, and they  try to help end-consumers spend responsibly. They have a number of policies to ensure this, including pausing your account when you miss a payment.

Is Afterpay really interested free?

When you pay in 4 instalments, it’s always interest-free, and there are no late fees as long as you pay on time. If you do miss a payment, you will incur a late fee and you won’t be able to buy or book anything else with Afterpay until you settle your account. But no interest.
